Watch: Video shows 72-year-old woman and husband robbed at gunpoint outside home in West Houston, HPD reports

HOUSTON Video footage of the armed robbery was released in the hope that someone would identify the suspect involved, according to the Houston Police Department.

The aggravated robbery was reported on February 11 at 2:50 p.m. in front of a house located in the 10200 block of Briar Forest Drive, west of Houston.

Police said the 72-year-old woman was packing something into her truck in the garage of her home when a masked gunman approached her from behind. The suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded the car keys.

The woman started screaming as she alerted her 75-year-old husband to open the front door and check it out, police said. The suspect then pointed the gun at the man and again asked for the keys. The perpetrator then followed the man into the house, took the keys to their four-door BMW sedan, and drove away.

The next day, police said, the victims’ car was found abandoned on a residential street next to an apartment complex located in the 5400 block of Rampart Street.
