People in California woke up to a rare sight of snow on Friday morning. Snow fell across the state overnight, including in many parts of the Bay Area, making it a rare but scenic start to the day.

Scores across the region jumped at the opportunity to capture the unusual weather event against the backdrop of a historic winter storm. Some even took off their skis to have fun in the winter.
