Warming trend begins ahead of February heat wave in Central Florida
ORLANDO, Florida. – If you blinked, you may have missed Central Florida’s short recovery on Saturday. Even with additional clouds around Sunday, the highs will return to the lower 80s. The wind will also subside.
However, the direction of the wind will shift to the south, bringing additional heat and a little more moisture. While much of Central Florida will be dry, occasional rain is possible off the coast. Any downpour that develops will be light and fast.
Expect more sunshine on Monday with highs in the 80s.
Then, in the middle and end of the working week, a massive warm-up begins.
Tuesday highs climb into the mid-80s with sunshine.
We are back in record territory by Wednesday and are flirting with 90 degrees. On Thursday, most of Central Florida could reach 90 degrees. In Orlando, it reached 90 only three times in the history of mankind. The data goes back to 1892.
From Thursday to Saturday there will not only be a chance to reach 90 degrees, but also an opportunity to break the record highs for February.
