Video shows moment out-of-control Tesla crashes into NYC assisted-living center

New video released Wednesday shows the moment an out-of-control Tesla barreled into the wall of an assisted-living center in a fatal Brooklyn crash last year.

Jonathan Mikhaylov, 23, was allegedly behind the wheel of the luxury electric car late on June 10, 2021, when he tried to turn on Strickland Avenue while driving 100 miles per hour and lost control, prosecutors said.

Mikhaylov crashed through a metal fence and struck two dumpsters before going airborne for nearly 40 feet, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said.

The car rotated in the air and eventually struck the retaining wall of the assisted living facility.

One of the four passengers, 18-year-old Jack Levy, who was in the backseat, was rushed to Brookdale Hospital with severe head trauma and died the next day, cops said.

The others, an 18-year-old, 22-year-old and 24-year-old, were also injured but recovered.

A grand jury indicted Mikhaylov Wednesday on reckless manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and assault charges, prosecutors said.

“This defendant’s alleged reckless driving caused the death of a young man whose entire life was ahead of him, and left others injured,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez  said.
