United Way Creates PODS Sites for Families Affected by Hurricane Yan

LEE COUNTY, Florida. The United Way Gifts in Kind Program partnered with PODS and 10 local social service agencies to form the United Way Recovery Distribution Program (UWRDP). The program will distribute much-needed household items to people affected by Hurricane Yang.

PODS donated five 16-foot storage containers and United Way donated five more containers for a total of 10 PODS storage containers.

Seats will be distributed across Lee County to ensure access to as many families and individuals as possible.

Each location will be guarded and managed by a United Way partner. Members of the public can schedule a meeting to meet at POD and get any items they need.

Community members can call 239-433-2000 or visit UnitedWayLee.org.
