U.S. Navy investigation continues into the death of SEAL candidate Kyle Mullen

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The United States Navy investigation into the death of SEAL candidate Kyle Mullen continues.

In February 2022, 24-year-old Mullen died of acute bacterial pneumonia after completing “Hell Week.”

Navy officials announced Wednesday that three officers are now under review in connection with Mullen’s death. Plus, Navy officials say changes are being adopted for screening Navy SEAL candidates.

KUSI’s Teresa Sardina spoke with retired Navy SEAL Jimmy Watson to get some perspective on the situation.
