Two rounds of rain, storms possible this week in DFW

An active weather pattern will set in this week as strong winds and two storms approach North Texas.

Clouds will continue to increase on the Monday ahead of our first system, arriving late Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Rain and a few thunderclaps are possible as we start the day on Tuesday. While nothing major is expected on Tuesday morning, it could make commuting to work difficult.

Strong winds will blow across the region on Tuesday. A wind warning was issued from midnight to 6:00 pm. Wind gusts can reach 40-50 m/s.

If you have plans with your sweetheart for Valentine’s night, it will be dry and clear.

Another round of storms is possible Wednesday afternoon and evening. These storms can become violent and severe. The Storm Prediction Center has already identified an area, including much of North Texas, at risk.

Much colder air will arrive later in the week. High temperatures by Thursday and Friday will only rise to 40 and 50 degrees.
