Two men make off with $5,000 after robbing NYC supermarket at gunpoint: cops
Two men in black ski masks robbed a Brooklyn supermarket at gunpoint, making off with $5,000 cash, police said Tuesday.
The suspects ran into the Associated Supermarket on Arlington Avenue near Miller Avenue in Cypress Hills around 5:10 p.m. Monday, cops said.
As one suspect was holding the gun and yelling at everyone in the store to step back, the other one grabbed cash from the registers on the counters, surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows.
The suspect is shown stuffing the money from the drawer into a red recycled grocery bag as his buddy repeatedly waves his weapon, the video shows.
Both of the suspects are of medium build and were last seen in black clothing with their faces covered, cops said.
No injuries were reported.
