COLLIER COUNTY, Florida. On Monday, MPs arrested a 20-year-old teenager for possession of illegal drugs.
Deputies said they were patrolling the area when they spotted a vehicle traveling at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.
They say they were led in pursuit before the suspect crashed into the median.
Deputies took Refugio Garcia Jr. into custody and charged him with fentanyl trafficking, cocaine possession, amphetamine possession, flight and evasion of justice, and driving without a license.
During the search, police say they found enough fentanyl to kill more than 4,000 people in the suspect’s car.
The US Drug Enforcement Administration states that 1 kilogram of fentanyl can kill 500,000 people.
Deputies also confiscated cocaine, amphetamines and more than $2,500 in cash from the car.
