Tom Sizemore in critical condition after brain aneurysm

He was admitted to intensive care in what his manager described as a “wait and see” situation.

LOS ANGELES — Tom Sizemore is in critical condition after suffering a brain aneurysm, a spokesman for the actor said Sunday.

Sizemore suffered an aneurysm around 2 a.m. Saturday at his home in Los Angeles. According to his manager Charles Lago, he was admitted to intensive care. Lago described Sizemore’s condition as a “wait and see” situation.

Sizemore, 61, has starred in films like Heat and Black Hawk Down. He is best known for his portrayal of Sgt. Mike Horvath in the WWII film Saving Private Ryan.

Sizemore also had a history of drug abuse and run-ins with law enforcement.

In 2003, he was convicted of domestic violence against his girlfriend Heidi Fleiss. In 2006, he did not dispute methamphetamine use outside of a motel. Sizemore was arrested in Los Angeles in 2009 on suspicion of battery and again in 2011 for the same crime.

In 2018, the 26-year-old actress filed a lawsuit against Sizemore, alleging that he abused her at the age of 11 while filming Natural Born Killers. Sizemore denied this and the lawsuit was later dismissed.

This is an evolving story. It will be updated when more details become available.
