Tom Hackett Named CEO of Truist Securities

truist Financial Corporation today announced that John Gregg is retiring and that Volume Hackett was named chairman and main executive Officer from truist Securities, truistfull-service corporate and investment bank, effective 31 March.

Based in Atlanta Hackett currently holds the presidency and main current Officer (Chief operating officer) truist Securitiesposition he has held since 2020. He joined truist Securities in 2008 and has over 30 years of corporate and investment banking experience. In my new role Hackett will report to truist Vice Chairman Bo Cummins.

Hackett was one of the main architects of the growth strategy that led truist Securities establish itself as a leading player in corporate and investment banking. As president and chief operating officer, he was responsible for investment banking, corporate banking, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and asset finance. Hackett led a team that serves corporate clients with a full range of capital markets, advisory services and traditional banking products and services.

Hackett previously held additional leadership positions in truist Securities, including Head of Investment Banking and Head of Asset Finance, in which roles he led teams focused on asset securitization, asset-based lending, structured real estate, project finance and equipment finance. Before joining truist, Hackett has worked in various corporate and investment banking roles at several leading industry institutions.
