Tom Brady Announces Retirement From NFL Again
WASHINGTON. Tom Brady is leaving the NFL again.
“Good morning, guys. I’ll get straight to the point. I’m retiring. For good,” Brady said.
The announcement from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback came exactly one year after Brady had previously announced his retirement from the NFL, only to decide a month later that he would return for another season.
“I know the process was quite complicated last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I would just hit the record and let you know first,” Brady said. “Therefore, I will not be verbose. You only have one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine last year. So I’m really, really grateful to you guys, to each and every one of you for your support. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there are too many of them. Thank you guys for letting me make my true dream come true. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love you all.”
Brady retires at age 45 after holding numerous passing records in an unprecedented 23-year career.
