Today the showers are changeable and cooler

Showers are possible on Wednesday, especially in the morning. A slowly moving front will slide across the area, resulting in a dramatic shift in temperature. This front will close in North Texas, which will also bring rain and thunderstorms on Thursday. While a few severe storms are possible, severe weather is unlikely to be widespread. Despite the chance of rain, there will be several hours of dry weather on Wednesday and Thursday.

Cooler weather will accompany a front with highs from the 50s near the Red River to the 70s south of DFW. By the weekend, the front will gradually dissipate, and on Saturday the temperature will again drop to 70 degrees.
