TIME: Severe storms, wind moving into Central Florida ahead of cold air gusts.

ORLANDO, Florida. – In the night from Friday to Saturday morning, a strong storm will develop in the northeast of the Gulf of Mexico. As the storm moves into the southeastern United States on Saturday afternoon, several major storms are possible in Central Florida.

The main threat will be destructive winds, but one or two short tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Severe weather is most likely to occur north of Orlando on Saturday.

To the north of Orlando, there will be intermittent showers and clouds early Saturday.

As the storm recedes, expect winds to increase to gusts of 30-40 mph.
