Three children killed, two injured in Texas home attack

ITALY, Texas – The news reports that three children were killed and two other children injured in an attack on a home in Texas on Friday.

KTVT-TV reported that around 4 p.m., paramedics arrived at a home in Italy, Texas, and two people were taken to hospitals by helicopter.

WFAA-TV reported that a woman was detained after a stab wound was inflicted at a house in Ellis County.

According to the channel, the woman is the mother of five children who were victims of the attack.

The WFAA said the Child Protective Services office visited the home and reported the attack to the Ellis County Sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately respond to an email from the Associated Press asking for more information.

“We are appalled by this unfathomable tragedy and are already working with law enforcement to find out how and why this happened,” Child Protective Services said in a statement released to the WFAA.
