This newly listed duplex is one of the most expensive rentals in New York.
Fasano’s posh Fifth Avenue duplex just went on the market at $120,000 a month, and that asking price makes it the second most expensive rental in the city, according to StreetEasy.
(StreetEasy also features the most expensive rental kiosks these days in the same building at 815 Fifth Avenue, which are asking $140,000 a month.)
The lower price doesn’t make this new spread any less epic. Owned three-bedroom, 3½-bathroom residence – private club and quasi-hotel (no room for overnight stay, but can be rented for a minimum of 30 days) – spacious 3600 sq. .
It was designed by Thierry Despont – a French architect known for restoring the Statue of Liberty and refurbishing the Ritz Paris – with bespoke and vintage furnishings, as well as upscale Loro Piana textiles.
All this in a 14-story building built in 1910.
Fasano, an upscale Brazilian brand that has recently entered the North American market, offers seven club suites priced around $38,000 a month and four apartment-like duplexes. The other three have already been rented for $120,000 or more.
Fasano amenities include a gym, terrace, concierge, Mercedes car (and driver!) – and, since it’s a Brazilian brand, a private restaurant and bar with bossa nova jazz band on weekends.
“It’s personal, exclusive and intimate,” said listing broker Erin Boisson Aries of Douglas Elliman.
