The woman was hospitalized after being caught in a traffic jam on SR-417 in Seminole County, the military said.

SEMINOL COUNTY, Florida. – A woman was hospitalized after getting caught in a traffic jam on state road 417 in Seminole County on Monday night, causing the road to close, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The soldiers said the accident occurred on southbound SR-417 at the 50 mile mark. The pedestrian was caught in a traffic jam and was “critical and did not react at the scene,” the servicemen said.

She was then taken to a local hospital, according to FHP. The military does not currently have an update on her condition.

The road near the crash site is currently closed, FHP said.
