She said she tracked his flight and John called her during several stops, but lost contact with him when he got to the Lake Worth area.

It was then, she said, that a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy showed up at her door in Lake Worth Beach to tell her that John had died in a plane crash.

“I collapsed on the floor. Nobody wants to hear it. Everyone is just devastated. I keep thinking he’s going to walk in the door,” Lindy said. “All I have is our child, and this is the only thing that supports me.”
