The White House does not say how many people could have accessed Biden’s classified documents in the garage

The White House wouldn’t mind how many people could have had access to classified Obama-era documents found in President Biden’s garage and the Penn Biden Center.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to answer a number of questions during Thursday’s press briefing, including whether the White House had an estimate of the number of people who may have accessed classified documents.

Jean-Pierre referred to the “ongoing consideration” of the matter and referred it to the Ministry of Justice.

The spokesman also declined to say if there was a “third stop between the secure area and the garage” where the documents ended up.

Hunter Biden is among the people who apparently had access to the president’s home in Wilmington, where the documents were found. The exact number of other people who also had access remains unclear.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday appointed Special Counsel Robert Hoore, a former U.S. Attorney, to lead an investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents.

“Earlier today, I signed an order appointing Robert Hur as Special Counsel for the case I just described,” Garland said Thursday.

“The document empowers him to investigate whether any individual or entity has violated the law in connection with this matter,” Garland continued. “The Special Counsel will not be subject to day-to-day oversight by any departmental officer, but must comply with the department’s rules, procedures, and policies.”

Meanwhile, President Biden defended the whereabouts of the documents when he was pressured by Fox News’ Peter Doucey on Thursday.

“Secret documents next to your Corvette? What were you thinking about? Dusi asked.

“I will have the opportunity to talk about all this, God willing, it will be soon, but I said earlier this week – and by the way, my Corvette is in a locked garage. street,” Biden replied.

“So the documents were in a locked garage,” Doucy said.

“Yeah, just like my Corvette. But as I said earlier this week, people know that I take classified documents and classified material seriously,” Biden said. “I also said that we are fully and fully cooperating with the DOJ review.”
