MARTIN COUNTY, Florida. On Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol announced that they had located the car. searched in a car accident as a result of which the cyclist was hospitalized with a brain dead.

FHP spokeswoman Indiana Miranda said they received tips from the Crime Stoppers, prompting a Martin County Sheriff’s Office official to issue a warrant to search the property.

Investigators said on Monday they were looking for a gray or silver 2007-2015 Toyota Tundra.

Law enforcement officers found the car they were looking for, which, according to them, was parked in the garage of the house.

Miranda said the car was theirs and they had identified the suspect, but no one had been arrested so far.

The hit occurred on Friday at 10044 State Road A1A, north of Pepper Lane, on Hutchinson Island.

Investigators said the initial call to FHP was that the cyclist was dead, but the victim later regained a pulse and was taken to HCA Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.

On Monday, the FHP reported that the 57-year-old cyclist, whose name has not been released, is still in intensive care at the hospital but has no brain activity.
