The porch pirates were caught on camera while stealing packages from several houses in Manchaca.

The porch pirates who chased the delivery truck and saw the packages being stolen were caught on camera by several neighbors at the Bear Creek intersections in Manchaca.

Michael Peach says his package was stolen from his front porch within minutes of being delivered.

“Somehow brazen to do it in the middle of the day, especially in this area. There are cameras everywhere,” he said.

Peach has been calling this quiet neighborhood in Manchaca home for just over three years. This is the first time he has been a victim of pirates.

“It was a little creepy. I always thought it was a safe zone and it’s strange that this happened,” Peach said.

Luckily, he was able to catch the suspect and the suspicious car on his cameras. He says he noticed the suspects showed up minutes after the delivery truck. Peach believes they were chasing a delivery truck.

“I mean, you would think the courier would notice, but at the same time, I mean, they’re busy distributing packages, so maybe they’re just not paying attention,” Peach said.

He immediately shared this with his neighbors and quickly discovered that he was not the only victim.

“I think four or five people said they were hit in the area. And then in the neighboring area, I think, 10-15 minutes after ours, they said that they had 10 or 12 houses there,” Persik said.

Peach says he called the Travis County Sheriff’s office about the incident and was asked to file a report online, which he did. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office reached out to him Tuesday for footage and photos.

He hopes this story and images will help find answers.

“I just want whoever it is to be caught. I mean, if they’re going to come out here in the middle of the day, don’t cover their faces, let’s put it on the news,” Peach said.
