EASTER IN ART
Thursday, March 30, 19:00 and Saturday, April 8, 11:00.

The story of Christ’s death and resurrection has dominated Western culture for the last 2,000 years. This is perhaps the most significant historical event of all time, as described in the Gospels, but equally as depicted by the greatest artists in history. From the triumphant to the wild, from the ethereal to the tactile, some of the greatest works of Western civilization focus on this pivotal moment.

This beautifully shot film explores the Easter story, depicted in art, from early Christian times to the present day. Filmed in Jerusalem, the United States, and across Europe, the film explores the various ways in which artists have depicted the Easter story over the centuries and, in doing so, depicts the story of all of us.

I am Claude Monet
Thursday, April 20, 19:00 and Saturday, April 29, 11:00.

After premiering Season 4 of THE SCREEN EXHIBITION, I, Claude Monet, have returned by popular demand, revealing the heart and soul of perhaps the most beloved artist in the world.

Monet’s life is a gripping story about a man who, behind his sun-blinded canvases, suffered from depression, loneliness and even suicide. However, as his art developed and his love of gardening led to fame for his Giverny garden, his humor, insight and love of life were revealed. Told from Monet’s own words and filmed on location in the very places he painted, the film presents his most beloved paintings in an unforgettable, immersive artistic experience.
