The NYPD said a man was fatally hit by a garbage truck in Brooklyn.

On Friday, police said a man crossing a Brooklyn street was fatally shot by a private ambulance truck.

The driver remained at the scene and was not charged as police investigate the death.

The driver of a Mack dump truck was turning left off Kings Highway onto E. 14 in Sheepshead Bay when the truck hit Diego Andrade as he was crossing E. 14 just after 9:50 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Andrade, 58, was dragged away by a drilling rig and was found by police unconscious on the road with injuries to his head and body. He was rushed to the Maimonides Hospital, where he died.
