The NYPD needs the public’s help to identify the “Hazmat Killer” wanted for the fatal wine cellar robbery.

On Monday, police released a new image of Hazmat Killer accused of killing, but grainy security footage still wasn’t enough for detectives to track down the bizarrely dressed suspect.

“Between the mask, the suit, the hoodie — nine in all — it’s just hard for us to identify him,” NYPD Assistant Chief Joseph Kenny admitted during a press conference on the Upper East Side where the shooter shot the clerk. in a wine cellar in a protective suit.

The suspect is also wanted for three gun robberies in the last 10 days, and on all occasions he was wearing his strange outfit, police said.

According to police sources, he appears to have a craving for a certain brand of cigarettes.

“Newport seems to be his brand,” the source said, noting that the suspect stole cigarettes in at least two robberies.

Kenny, Assistant Chief of Detectives for North Manhattan, said: “The clothes in all four cases are exactly the same.

The NYPD is asking the public for help in identifying the following person featured in the attached media in connection with a robbery that occurred within the 42nd Precinct.
Police were unable to identify the suspect in the Hazmat murder.

“The method is exactly the same, and he’s wearing a Tyvek suit.”

The police officer said the recently released security image was taken at a 7-Eleven store in Brooklyn after the suspect was robbed on Feb. 25.

Unfortunately, the image quality is “insufficient for facial recognition,” Kenny said.

“That’s why we hope that someone from the locals will call the helpline and help us,” the assistant chief said.

Friday, March 3, 2023, ca. 23:28 A store worker was shot in the head at 201 E 81st Street. An assistant was declared DOA at the scene.
The deadly shooting on the Upper East Side could have been a failed robbery.

Detectives have struggled to find nearby businesses and extract footage from around the city for any possible additional surveillance video to try and track down the killer, police officials said.

Police said the suspect fatally shot the 67-year-old man in the head while he was working at Doana Gourmet Deli on the corner of East 81st Street and Third Avenue on Friday night. The shooter fled on a scooter.

According to Kenny, the murder could have been a failed robbery.

“In this case, at the moment it looks like he took a tray full of lighters. The money was not deducted from the account. Cigarettes have not been seized,” the deputy head said.

The assistant was declared DOA at the scene.
A 67-year-old deli worker was fatally shot in the head on Friday evening.

“The information we receive [the victim] was beaten with a gun,” Kenny said. “We have an injury to his left hand that may indicate that he put his hand [up] and tried to protect [himself]and then perhaps the gun went off.

“Now there is no logic, no reason,” said the policeman. “We just know that he uses his scooter, which means he’s pretty free to move around.”

The NYPD is offering $10,000 for a tip to help arrest the shooter, police said.
