FORT MYERS, Florida. The Minnesota Twins honored the Lee County Lifeguards ahead of today’s game at Hammond Stadium.
Shortly before the game against the Tampa Bay Rays began at 1:05 p.m., the Twins identified a special “starting lineup” of 10 rescuers representing organizations that helped with the recovery from Hurricane Ian.
These 10 people will “take their position” on the field, where they will be greeted.
Organizations represented at today’s game include the South Trail Fire Department, Captains for Clean Water, the Lee Emergency Medical Services Department, LCEC, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
