The man broke the mark of eating Chick-fil-A for 1,000 consecutive days except Sunday.

James Stinson says that apart from the food, excellent customer service is why he loves Chick-fil-A so much.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas. A milestone was reached on Wednesday after a resident of the Netherlands visited Chick-fil-A for the 1000th consecutive time.

James Stinson is deeply committed to the fast food restaurant. He won’t go anywhere unless Chick-fil-A is around.

Stinson’s personal mission is to make a record visit to Chick-fil-A every morning they’re open.

On Wednesday morning, the staff at Chick-fil-A in Port Arthur went out of their way to celebrate, surprising Stinson with a special table setting and a thank you card.

Stinson says this whole journey began when he read about a New Jersey man who turned 100 days old to go to Chick-fil-A.

He knew he could beat that number easily, and his pursuit of the record stretched beyond southeast Texas.

Once Stinson drove 40 miles just for his favorite chicken.

“Every time I travel there must be Chick-fil-A. Every time I go to Florida, we stop at Spanish Oaks,” Stinson said.

He says that apart from the food, great customer service is why he loves Chick-fil-A so much.

Stinson will start cutting back on his trips, but will try to do it two to three times a week.

Chick-fil-A Mid-County and Groves marketing director Becky Chryhart says they gave Stinson 1,000 “Be Our Guest” vouchers that can be redeemed for items on the menu.

“Knowing that he is a public person, he will probably give them away, maybe to some schools or, you know, people in the community,” Chryhart said.

CONNECTED: A couple from the Netherlands eat Chick-fil-A for 500 days in a row, except for Sundays.

On August 19, 2021, Stinson made his 500th visit to Chick-fil-A.

“Breakfast is my favorite meal. It’s always been that way since I was a tiny kid,” James Stinson previously told 12News.

Stinson said he’s a man of habit when it comes to his orders, but sometimes he changes them up a bit.

“At home, I made an order on the app where they had lunch and I already have an order, when I enter, sit down at the table with the table number,” said James Stinson.

He and his wife Libby Stinson always sit at the same table.

“We have been married for 53 years. Anything we can do together is good,” said James Stinson.

The Stinsons can usually eat for less than $15, but they’re not averse to going broke for the perks.

“You accumulate points and then use them and get things for free, plus I also send some to my grandchildren,” said James Stinson.

For the Chick-fil-A Stinsons on Memorial Boulevard. it’s like a second home.

“Here at Chick-fil-A, it’s just a different vibe compared to McDonald’s or Whataburger,” said James Stinson.

The Stinsons eat at the Cracker Barrel in front of church on Sundays since Chick-fil-A is closed.
