The Hallmark Channel Is Coming To Austin With A Crochet Christmas

To celebrate the Countdown to Christmas, Hallmark Channel is bringing something special to the streets of Austin. On Sunday, December 4, keep an eye out for festive Hallmark Channel cars decked out in custom crochet sweaters. Just five cities were chosen for this stunt and Austin is one of them!

Created and installed by the amazing crochet artist London Kaye, the show-stopping sweater wrapped car fleets are back and bigger than ever this year. Get a preview of London’s work here!

The festive Hallmark Channel fleets will feature Christmas music, lights, and enthusiastic brand ambassadors accompanying each vehicle. One can only assume that means swag will be handed out by those ambassadors – plus, it’s a fun photo op!

Stops are subject to change but the areas where you can most likely spot the vehicles include Mueller, the University of Texas campus, South Congress, Rainey Street, Zilker Park, East Austin, and Downtown Austin.

You can watch all-new original holiday movies every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at 8 p.m. all season long on Hallmark Channel.

Did you know that Austin stars in its very own Hallmark movie? Angels Sing is based on a Turk Pipken book, was shot in Austin and Bastrop, and premiered at SXSW in 2013. It stars Harry Connick Jr., Connie Britton, Lyle Lovett, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson! Learn about the filming locations here.
