Once the most expensive home in Houston, the sprawling French-style castle will go up for sale late Thursday night, according to The Post.
The incredible property, located at 100 Carnarvon Drive in posh Bayou Woods, made headlines back in 2014 when it went on the market for $43 million.
At the time, it was the highest price for a private residence in the city, but it did not find a buyer and the amount was subsequently reduced to $30 million.
Now, just over a year since the listing was last taken off the market, the luxury estate is back and asking for an incredible $36 million.
The over 26,000-square-foot interior of the hotel was designed by the late David Easton and combines modern neoclassical and impressionist French styles.
“Inspired by the palatial estates of Europe, 100 Carnarvon Drive is an unparalleled Houston residence,” Douglas Elliman’s agent Gigi Huang, who owns the 2.33-acre listing with Conrad Molsky and Dastan Gothorp, told The Post.
Exceptional details include “a Parisian-inspired pool, high hand-painted domed ceiling, floral chandelier and French details throughout.” There are also many salons, galleries, gardens and European craftsmanship to enjoy.

The house has eight bedrooms, a master bedroom with a private terrace and a luxurious spa bath.
The seller, Quantlab Financial co-founder Wilbur “Ed” Bosarge Jr., purchased the property through a trust in 2010, but the home wasn’t completed until two years later, the Wall Street Journal previously reported.
Bossarge, a billionaire known for wearing a beret, is known for throwing decadent parties. He made headlines in 2020 after his divorce from 22-year-old wife Marie Beausarches got messy.
