The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Highlands County.

HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Florida. There was a two-vehicle accident in Highlands County today that left people dead.

The first vehicle was driving north on the south lane of US 27. When another southbound vehicle on the south lane approached the intersection
state road 70.

The first car collided with the second car and left the roadway.

When representatives of law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene, the passenger of the first car was pronounced dead. Three more were taken to the hospital.
