The bride gave the groom a rare jeep, but a few weeks later it was stolen

“If you have my Jeep, please return it,” Cody Craig said. “It means more to me, I mean no hard feelings. I just want my Jeep back.”

SAN ANTONIO. The wedding gift a San Antonio bride gave her fiance has disappeared.

The newlyweds said that a rare and unique jeep was stolen a few weeks after their big day. Cody Craig and his wife Patin just said yes. The couple has a photo of them all smiling while sitting in a special jeep.

“A blue 1974 CJ5,” Craig said. “I was excited to get it.”

Just six weeks ago, after exchanging vows, Cody’s fiancée, Patin, surprised him with a rare jeep.

“It was our wedding present,” he said. “And she surprised me as we left the wedding venue.”

The Pating family is known to collect Jeeps and she wanted her husband to have one too.

“Since I joined the family, it has been an exciting moment to have my own Jeep,” he said.

Cody’s goal was to restore the Jeep and make it his own. He keeps it around Vance Jackson and Orsinger Lane. Recently Cody showed up and he was gone.

“They broke the lock on the gate and the chain on the gate,” he said. “So now I’m without my wedding present. I’m just really sad about the loss of sentimental value.”

The Craigies hope to get him back.

“If you have my Jeep, please return it,” Cody said. “It means more to me, I mean no hard feelings. I just want my Jeep back.”

The San Antonio police are investigating the theft. The police told KENS 5 that they had a person interested in the case. Investigators are looking into whether the man really stole the Jeep.
