Teacher at Freehold Intermediate School Faces Charges for Inappropriate Relationship with Student

On June 29, 2024, in Freehold, NJ, a teacher at Freehold Intermediate School was arrested and charged with a serious offense of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student. Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago made the announcement on Saturday regarding the arrest of Allison Havemann-Niedrach, a 43-year-old resident of Jackson in Ocean County. The charges brought against her include one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Following an investigation conducted by the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and the Freehold Borough Police Department, it was revealed that the alleged criminal behavior by Havemann-Niedrach commenced earlier this year. The investigation led to her arrest earlier this week without any incident. She was then taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI), where she is currently being held pending a first appearance and detention hearing at Monmouth County Superior Court.

Individuals who possess any information related to Havemann-Niedrach’s activities are encouraged to reach out to MCPO Detective Dawn Correia at 800-533-7443. The case is under the prosecution of Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki, who serves as the Director of the Special Victims Bureau. Havemann-Niedrach is being represented by Thomas Huth, Esq., who operates from an office in Freehold.

Despite the grave charges brought against her, it is essential to remember that every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a trial where the defendant is granted all the trial rights protected by the U.S. Constitution and State law. The seriousness of the charges and the nature of the alleged offense highlight the importance of a fair and just legal process to determine the truth and ensure accountability.
