Do you have “rejections”?
Specialty Tattoo Removal Salon Removery leased 2,500 square feet on the ground floor at 4 W. 21st St. for the flagship of the city.
Kenneth Hochhauser of Winick Realty Group represented a fledgling tenant who has achieved extraordinary growth in the service industry while lowering the stigma of tattoo removal.
Removery is headquartered in Austin, Texas and uses only lasers that break down ink without damaging the skin, allowing the body to naturally absorb and pass the ink through.
In 2021, Paul Singer’s Elliott Investments invested $50 million in the company. At the time, Removery acquired Clean Slate Laser, which was an industry leader in the competitive tri-state metropolitan market.
Removery currently has three additional offices in Manhattan, three in Brooklyn and one in Staten Island, as well as others in the surrounding areas.

By 2025, the company plans to open about 250 outlets.
Through its INK Initiative Program and partnerships with various non-profit organizations, Removery provides free tattoo removal from the arms, necks or faces of those who have been previously incarcerated, ex-gang members, victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, or have a hate speech tattoo. .
It also provides free removal of radiation tattoos, which can be a by-product of cancer treatment.
On the upper floors there are 56 attic cooperatives in a residential building built by the Brodsky Organization on the basis of a 99-year land lease agreement that it signed in 2000 with BREM Realty. The project was designed by architect Hugh Hardy.
