McKinney, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – This morning, McKinney cops caught a small group of cows near Airport Drive and Harry MacKillop Boulevard.

The department shared images and a brief description of the incident on its Facebook page.

When asked if any tickets had been issued, they replied, “Just a verbal warning. They responded with a bleat. It’s still unclear what was said.”

The stray cows initially did not respond to the officer’s commands, and according to the police, this was “a little confusing”.

Officers assumed the cows must have caught the flight as they were grazing near McKinney Airport. But the agency has yet to confirm a motive.

CBS 11 has reached out to the department for comment on who owns the cows or what may have led to their escape.
