Spurs sign Dominick Barlow to standard contract and Jamaree Bouyea to two-way deal
The San Antonio Spurs have recently executed a series of roster maneuvers, which include the signing of Raiquan Gray and the subsequent waiving of Mamadi Diakite. Additionally, reports indicate that the Spurs are transitioning Dominick Barlow’s two-way contract into a standard NBA deal. This adjustment allows Barlow to maintain a permanent spot on the San Antonio roster without the previous limitation of 50 games.
Barlow, who has appeared in 23 games for the Spurs, has showcased his skills by averaging 4.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and shooting 47% from the field in 13.3 minutes per game. Moreover, he was selected to participate in the G League’s “Next Up” game, where he impressively recorded an average of 22.0 points per game over five regular-season matchups in Austin.
In another strategic move, the Spurs have signed point guard Jamaree Bouyea to a two-way contract, adding depth to their roster. Bouyea, a product of the University of San Francisco, brings a wealth of experience from his time with the G League’s Skyforce and previous stints with NBA teams like the Heat, Wizards, and Blazers in 2023.
Furthermore, the team has also inked a two-way deal with Austin Spurs’ Raiquan Gray while parting ways with Mamadi Diakite. Gray’s stellar performance with Austin earned him a spot on Team USA’s Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team, showcasing his potential as a rising star in the league.
