Soros-backed prosecutor receives final ultimatum from State AG: Leave now or face consequences

George Soros-backed St. Louis District Attorney Kim Gardner could be removed from office by the Missouri Attorney General, who gave her until Thursday noon to resign.

According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch Attorney General Andrew Bailey is among government officials who have run out of patience with Gardner.

“We give Kim Gardner until noon tomorrow to retire,” Bailey tweeted on Wednesday. “If she refuses, she faces immediate removal proceedings.”

AG said crime victims in Missouri’s second-largest city deserve justice.

“Instead of protecting the victims, District Attorney Gardner creates them. My office will do everything in its power to restore order and clean up the chaos in St. Louis caused by Kim Gardner’s neglect of her office,” Bailey concluded.

Missouri law gives Bailey the power to remove fraudulent elected officials.

Gardner’s office is accused of protecting violent criminals.

Gardner’s help desk in St. Louis was hit hard last week after a man her office overlooked almost killed a teenage girl, Post-Dispatch reports.

Daniel Riley, 21, was scheduled to be under house arrest on Saturday.

Instead, he reportedly crashed into a parked car carrying 17-year-old Jana Edmondson, who had to have her legs amputated.

“He was awaiting trial on a 2020 robbery charge,” Post-Dispatch reports. “Initially, the trial was scheduled for last summer, but prosecutors said in court that they were not ready for trial.”

The charges in the case were dropped and retried by Gardner’s office, and Riley was released. He allegedly violated the terms of his bail “dozens of times, but the prosecutor’s office never took any action to take him into custody.”

Gardner’s office said Riley’s trial was delayed due to the death of a witness. Later it turned out that the witness was alive.

The Post-Dispatch reported that St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones, an ally of James, withdrew her support after a weekend car accident.

“She really needs to think carefully about whether she wants to continue to work as a district attorney because she has lost the trust of the people,” the mayor said.

Gardner took office in 2017.

Organizations associated with far-left billionaire George Soros gave Gardner at least $150,000, according to the Washington Examiner.

Gardner made headlines in 2020 when she brought Mark and Patricia McCloskey to justice for pointing firearms at a mob invading their protected area during the nationwide Black Lives Matter riots.

Gardner was later removed from the case after a judge determined she was pursuing him for “political purposes”.
