Smokehouse workers in New York threatened with a hammer for a brutal robbery: video
According to police and video footage, two gunmen threatened Brooklyn smoke shop workers with a hammer and hit one of them before snatching hundreds of dollars in cash and CBD products.
The couple entered the Hubble Bubble Smokehouse on Avenue P near East 4th Street in Midwood just after 11 a.m. Feb. 2, police said this week.
The video, posted late Monday night, shows the couple talking to a worker behind the counter when one of them appears to be pointing at a small object he was holding in his hand and then walks away.
As the worker follows them, one of the suspects clambers over the counter, grabbing a hammer.
Cops say the scumbag threatened employees with a hammer and demanded CBD products.
The video then shows another suspect going behind the counter and grabbing several items.
The couple also hit a 30-year-old male worker several times in the face and body, authorities said. The attack is not visible on camera.
The duo got off with about $150 in cash and about $800 worth of CBD products, police said.
Both suspects fled in a blue two-wheeler heading east on Avenue P and then south on East 4th.th Street, police said. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding them.
The battered employee was treated for pain and bruising at a Coney Island hospital.
