Slater 50/50 Founder’s Spitfire Tacos Concept To Install At Juneshine Hard Kombucha Headquarters In San Diego

January 5, 2023The creator of Southern California-based gourmet burger chain Slater’s 50/50 will open a branch of his Spitfire Tacos concept within Juneshine Hard Kombucha’s main brewery in San Diego. After starting and selling a successful hot dog stand business before the 2008 recession hit, San Diego State University alum Scott Slater launched his first Slater’s 50/50 restaurant in Anaheim in 2009 and gained an immediate following for a menu of bacon-infused burgers and an early devotion to the craft beer industry. The company grew to numerous locations in California with restaurants in Anaheim Hills, Huntington Beach, Rancho Cucamonga, Pasadena, San Marcos and San Diego’s Liberty Station.

Slater’s Spitfire Tacos concept will soon install in the long dormant space that last housed Enclave Adventurous Superfood inside the Juneshine Ranch tasting room & brewery in San Diego’s Scripp Ranch. Sited within the 24,000 square-foot warehouse that long housed Ballast Point Brewing Old Grove facility, the new Spitfire Tacos will serve a non-traditional menu of tacos, burritos, bowls, and loaded totchos. The eatery is also anticipated to sell a variety of salads from sister-concept Head Lettuce.
The new Spitfire Tacos is anticipated to open at some point this February at 10051 Old Grove Road in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch. For more information, visit spitfiretacos.com.
