Six people injured in truck crash in South Bay

South Bay, Florida. Six people were hospitalized after an accident Sunday morning involving a car and a semi-trailer, the Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue Department said.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., PBCFR units were sent to Block 7000 of U.S. Route 27 South for an accident with possible casualties.

The units found a car jammed with a semi-trailer.

One person was trapped, he was evacuated by special forces units. They managed to quickly withdraw all the other passengers and begin treatment.

Two patients were airlifted using the Trauma Hawk while the rest were transported to the hospital by ground.
