Six Flags has a new roller coaster. We had to ride it.

Sean Giggy was just a reporter again.

ARLINGTON, TX — The AQUAMAN: Power Wave Rollercoaster has officially opened at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, just in time for spring break.

So, you know we had to ride it. Once again, Sean Giggy was just a reporter.

Sean is usually willing to try out new rides and attractions – even a waterslide in costume – and Thursday was no different, even when he was on live TV with (somewhat) creepy clowns by your side.

See for yourself how Sean, “our regular rollercoaster tester”, took the plunge on the new AQUAMAN rollercoaster:

The Aquaman rollercoaster was a highly anticipated thrill ride at Six Flags.

The Aquaman attraction was originally supposed to open in 2020, but the COVID pandemic has delayed its progress.

The ride will be the park’s 14th roller coaster and the first to open since the Joker ride in 2017.

According to Six Flags, it will be one of the fastest rides in the park, reaching speeds of up to 63 miles per hour.

The ride will consist of two 150-foot towers that launch riders back and forth between them and drop them straight down at a 90-degree angle. At the end of the trip, you will be splashed over a giant wave.

The ride has over 700 feet of track and two 20-seat boats for riders.

“We are thrilled to bring AQUAMAN: Power Wave to legions of thrill-seekers and we believe spring break is the perfect time to inaugurate this epic new attraction,” said Richard Dohye, president of Six Flags Over Texas.
