Showers and scattered storms possible across North Texas today

FORT WORTH (CBSNewsTexas.com) We’ve seen scattered rain and a few isolated storms this morning as a front remains over North Texas. So far, most of the rain has been light to moderate.

As we keep moving throughout the day, we may see occasional showers and thunderstorms, but we don’t expect rain all day. Otherwise, we will see mostly cloudy skies and cool weather. The highs will be below 50 and below 60. Indeed, many areas may remain in the 1950s.

Tonight it will be cloudy with some showers. The low will be in the mid-50s tonight. There may be some fog tonight and tomorrow morning.

straight! A weather warning has been issued for Thursday.

We are watching a cold front that is expected to move through the area by Thursday afternoon and evening.

This front is likely to cause scattered rain and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms can be strong or violent with gusty winds, small hail and periods of heavy rain.

During this time, the Storm Prediction Center placed parts of North Texas at minimal risk of major storms.

There is a 60% chance of rain on Thursday. The highs will be in the mid-70s.

While early morning rain is possible on Friday, it will remain dry in most areas with partly cloudy skies. The highs will be in the upper 60s.

We’ll be on a wild ride of pace this weekend. The highs will be in the 80s on Saturday before dropping to the 60s on Sunday after the cold front passes.

Also, don’t forget to set your clocks FORWARD an hour before bedtime on Saturday night!
