Severe storms possible on Thursday

Another round of severe weather is possible on Thursday when our next system moves to North Texas.

The Storm Prediction Center lists most of the region as Tier 2 (low risk) for severe storms.

On Thursday, two rounds of bad weather are possible. The first wave of storms is likely to hit by noon, especially in areas along and east of I-35. The second round will take place late Thursday afternoon as the overland line moves east into the area.

Heavy hail, high winds and even a few tornadoes are possible as this severe weather approaches North Texas. Make sure you have a plan and multiple ways to get severe weather alerts.

A strong cold front will arrive on Thursday evening and temperatures will drop. If you have already done some work in your garden, you may need to cover sensitive vegetation. Freezing temperatures will be possible in parts of the region on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
