Dianne Feinstein announced Tuesday that she will not officially seek re-election to the US Senate.
This announcement ends a 30-year career as one of the California senators, after which he was the mayor of San Francisco and one of its leaders. The race to replace her is expected to be fierce, with leaders Adam Schiff and Kathy Porter already on the campaign trail, and Barbara Lee on Wednesday filed paperwork to enter the race.
