SEED Food and Wine Festival to Bring Vegan Gourmets to Miami-Dade Events

Do you love wine and plants? Are you all about the vegan life? If you answered yes, we have an event for you.

The SEED Food and Wine Festival is taking place at several different locations in Miami-Dade this year, and they provide 101 lessons on how to live meat-free.

Seed and you will find.

Alison Burgos: “The name SEED Food and Wine is actually inspired by the fact that you plant a seed and watch it grow.”

Letting it grow and eat it is what the SEED Food and Wine Festival is all about.

At this four-day gourmet vegan event, you drink, enjoy, exercise and ask the question, “What is it made of?”

Alison Burgos: “We have eight tournaments. We have dinners with wine from celebrity chefs. We have a large tasting village. We’re having an amazing burger battle where we’ll name the best plant-based burger in the country.”

One of the contenders for this year’s Burger Battle is Perrology. A food truck from Doral wants to try their Latin-style burger.

Perrology rep: “The burger has a plant-based patty, melted cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions, jalapenos and sweet bananas.”

All this yummy is placed between a vegan bun.

As for snacks, there is something to sip, of course, made from natural ingredients.

Jules Aron: “I am preparing two non-alcoholic cocktails. The first is Smoke and Sparkle. This is a Chinese smoky tea, so it has some smoke in it. And the second is Blue Paradise, an infusion of jasmine, elderberry and blue spirulina.”
