Sanford police ask public for help finding runaway driver

SANFORD, Florida. – The Sanford Police Department is seeking information about a car-motorcycle accident that occurred on February 2nd.

Police said the accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. as a motorcyclist was driving southbound on U.S. Route 17-92, also known as Monroe Road, when an unidentified vehicle turned left toward the eastbound Interstate 4 entrance.

According to police, the car collided with a motorcycle and fled the scene.

Automobile Reported be a maroon, burgundy, or red four-door sedan, according to the police report.

The motorcyclist was injured in the crash, according to police.

Sanford Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with information about the driver or vehicle to call the department at 407-688-5070.
