San Jose Police Arrest Suspect in Feb. 3 Fatal Shooting

Police said Friday that a suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting last week that left one dead in San Jose.

Anthony Samaro, 30, is in custody after reporting a shooting at 10:55 p.m. Feb. 3 involving a victim with a gunshot wound who was taken to the San Jose Regional Medical Center.

Investigators determined that the victim had been shot at a house in the 2000 block of Pepper Way, and evidence of a shooting was found in the house.

The next day, the victim died from his injuries.

Police identified Samaro as a suspect in connection with the shooting and arrested him on Saturday. The motive for the shooting is yet to be ascertained.

According to police, this is the third murder in San Jose this year.
