San Diego Restaurant Attack Leaves Man Dead

A tragic incident at a restaurant in South County San Diego has left a man dead, after he was beaten by an assailant whose identity has yet to be determined. Jose Perez-Fong, a 59-year-old man who was out celebrating a recent promotion with friends, was brutally assaulted on the crowded dance floor of Papagayos Grill & Cantina, located in Chula Vista, near the intersection of Otay Lakes Road and Eastlake Parkway, on April 15. The reason for the attack, which resulted in multiple skull fractures and brain bleeds, remains unknown. Perez-Fong was eventually taken to a hospital and received treatment in an intensive care unit, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Friday, April 21.
