San Antonio police report 15-year-old dies from chest gunshot wound.
San Antonio Police reported on Sunday afternoon that a 15-year-old died after being involved in a shooting that took place in an apartment complex situated on the northwest side. The incident happened around 12:45 p.m. at the 4000 block of Gardendale.
Upon receiving the report of the shooting, officers were immediately dispatched to the location. The victim was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest. SAPD officers arrived at the scene and promptly transported the boy to the hospital. According to SAPD officials, the teenager succumbed to his injuries shortly after being taken to the hospital.
A preliminary investigation by SAPD revealed that other juveniles were inside the apartment when the shooting occurred. SAPD officials stated that only one gunshot was fired and a firearm was discovered at the scene of the shooting.
