Salinas police social media will be back soon

SALINAS, California. (KION-TV) — The Salinas police Instagram and Facebook accounts have gone missing without a reason. If you try to find them, nothing will come of it.

Salinas Police have shed light on the situation, saying their accounts should be back by the end of the week or sometime next week. They said they need to fix some user issues on their side and they have some technical issues that their IT department is addressing.

Their social networks have disappeared since Valentine’s Day. Their last post was a post made by many law enforcement agencies across the state that day asking people to report their exes if they have outstanding warrants.

KION asked the police if they were banned from social media or hacked. They denied that anything happened and assured us it was just a technical problem.
