Safety during Super Bowl parties

LEE COUNTY, Florida — The North Collier Rescue Fire Department is urging residents to be safe and responsible during Super Bowl today.

Fire officials say it doesn’t matter if your team wins or loses, but the worst outcome would be inadvertently inviting firefighters to a Super Bowl party.

The North Collier Fire Rescue Fire Department advises residents that one of the best ways to avoid a fire is to stay in the kitchen while cooking.

The fire brigade advises never to leave the stove on unattended, and if you leave the room, be sure to turn off the oven or stove.
