Singapore startup develops breath test to analyze fat burning

Metanoia Sensing, a high-tech start-up from Singapore, has developed a breath analyzer that helps people monitor their fat burning process and gain insight into the health risks associated with metabolism.

non-invasive device called Methanos uses Micro-Electro-Mechanical System acetone sensor and patented signal processing algorithm to measure volatile organic compounds and analyze oxidative stress of lipid metabolism or fat burning.

Lunit improves chest x-ray readings at Radlink

South Korean AI medical company Lunit is supplying its AI-powered chest radiography solution to Radlink, one of the largest diagnostic imaging centers in Singapore.

According to a press statement, the Lunit INSIGHT CXR will be supplied to Radlink over the next three years, improving reading accuracy and diagnostic efficiency.

Lunit said it plans to negotiate with Radlink to add its other AI solutions to its contract, including the Lunit INSIGHT MMG for mammography analysis.


South Korea clears new 3D chest analysis software

Another South Korean medical device company, Medical IP, recently received approval from the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its chest X-ray software.

Software like a medical device called TiSepX converts chest x-rays into 3D images to analyze the condition of the lungs and neighboring organs. It can also calculate lung capacity using a deep learning model.

Once approved, Medical IP plans to expand its line of 3D chest analysis software to analyze the heart, bones and blood vessels. The company is also currently in the process of obtaining overseas approvals and looking for partners to implement its technology.


Chinese rehabilitation technology maker SiYi raises $15M in Series A funding

Chinese smart rehabilitation solutions provider SiYi Intelligence has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Chengdu Bio-town Equity Investment Fund with participation from its existing investor Tao Capital.

The company develops rehabilitation robots for clinical and home use, as well as for scientific research. His portfolio consists of a robotic hand glove, a walking exoskeleton suit, assistive BCIs, and an upper limb rehabilitation robot. SiYi, founded in 2017, currently serves a client base of about 3,000 clinics and 50,000 families in over 80 countries.

According to the press release, its new funds will be used to accelerate the research and development of integrated neurorehabilitation solutions and build a digital platform for rehabilitation services.
